April Bagpacking at Sainsbury's

Friday 1 April 2016

April bagpacking at Sainsbury's

If you're a smart shopper who likes a little help at the tills, why not pop down to Sainsbury’s Pontllanfraith this April and let us do the hard work for you!

As the designated charity of the year, our staff and volunteers will be visiting the store on both Saturday 2nd April and Saturday 30th April to lend a hand to customers and raise funds through bag packing.

The event will also see our resident “Marathon Man” Aiden Davies (pictured below) on hand to discuss his upcoming fundraising activity. For those unaware, Aiden will be aiming to complete all 26 miles of this year’s London Marathon which takes place on Sunday 24th April.

Aiden will be in store on 2nd April to help raise awareness of his efforts and assist customers with their bags. Please help us get him over the finishing line by donating in-store or visiting his sponsorship page below.

kayaking around the whole of Wales raising awareness of disability

Tuesday 8 March 2016

This summer our very own Tom Clark (Advocacy Manager) and his friend Ben will be kayaking around the whole of Wales to raise money and awareness for Bobath Cymru, Disability Can Do and Carmarthenshire People First. These charities help disabled people realise their own abilities.

Ben  - "Cerebral Palsy has been a big part of my life. Having a disability is the best excuse anyone needs to realise their own strengths."

Tom - "I have been passionate about Disability enablement and rights for a very long time."

Tom, Ben and all of us here at Disability Can Do would be extremely grateful for any donations towards their mammoth efforts for charity.
