CAN DO ROADSHOW 2015

With the summer sun upon us and July just around the corner, Disability Can Do is pleased to announce the glorious return of its annual summer Roadshow!

Starting on the 6th July, we will spend the week visiting a selection of venues spanning the Caerphilly Borough bringing our services into the community and onto your doorstep. Our knowledgeable staff and volunteer team will be on hand to take enquiries and provide information on services that can benefit yourself, your family and your friends!

So if are confused as to what benefit you should be receiving, need information on receiving domiciliary care or your just looking for the number of a wheelchair accessible taxi service, why not pop along to a venue near you!

Any enquiry, however small, will be happily taken by our team. If we can’t assist in a matter then we will happily find somebody who can. Please check below for a complete schedule.

Can Do BEATS The Twmbarlwm Trek

Wednesday 3 June 2015

Can Do takes on The Twmbarlwm Ridgeway Walk

The Can Do team would like to say a huge thank you and congratulations to Jonathan Curtis and his team of volunteers for completing the grueling 21 mile Twmbarlwm walk.

The "Monster of a route" covers the 3 of the highest points in the county, Twmbarlwm (419m), Mynydd Machen (362m) and Mynydd Islwyn (312m)

After being unable to complete the walk at the official event organised by the Caerphilly Challenge Series on May 9th due to a medical emergency, Jonathan remained  determined to complete the walk and raise vital funds for the organisation.

In light of this unfortunate incident, Jonathan rescheduled the walk to take place once fit and well. We are proud to announce that on Saturday 30th May Jonathan did just that, and successfully completed the full 21 miles in little under 12 hours.

Jonathan and Volunteers at the peak of Twmbarlwn

Congratulations Jonathan on your perseverance and dedication to your commitment, we are proud to call you part of our trustee board and volunteer team.

Special thanks to
