INDUCTION & TRAINING

INDUCTION & TRAINING

We value the time given by Disability Can Do volunteers and to ensure they are supported to deliver high quality and effective services to people who contact us. Induction and training is given to everyone, whether you are new or been with us for many years. All volunteers are inducted about the organisation, procedures, policy and health and safety. Where necessary, volunteers receive training specific to their role if there are any gaps or changes locally/nationally.

The following areas are covered during induction:

    1. Introduction to Disability Can Do
    2. Who we are and what we do
    3. People involved in the organisation
    4. Your role and description
    5. Support to help you achieve
    6. Policies and procedures
    7. Health and safety
    8. Practicalities
    9. Communication
    10. Rights and responsibilities
